Sewing 101

If you're interested in learning to sew, this is the class for you. We'll offer small group instruction to a max of 6 students per session, starting with the basics and graduating to increasing their sewing skills with each project. Students will work at their own pace to complete 3+ projects during the 6 week session. Classes meet for 2 hours per week. Each participant must have a sewing machine. We have a limited number of sewing machines available to rent during class sessions, so if you would like to rent one, please check with us for availability prior to registering.

Projects include:
Pillow or pillow case
Zipper pouch
Pajama pants or other entry level garment

This class is best for ages 16 and above.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: This class is suitable for the new sewing machine owner that wants to learn basic sewing skills as they begin their sewing journey. The class will work on small projects that increase their knowledge and skills week over week, culminating in sewing a basic garment or bag during the final weeks.
Requirements: Sewing machine, scissors, rotary cutter, 6" x 24" ruler, 18"x24" mat or larger, pins, seam ripper, Beginner Sewing workbook
