Maker Class - Let's Make Wool Mittens!

This sew along workshop is guaranteed to be festive and fun!  Karen will walk you through the easy-to-follow instructions and you will leave with a pair of eco-friendly, fleece lined, wool mittens that you can give as a gift or keep for yourself.  And because we know you will become addicted, you will go home with a sewing pattern, so you can make mittens to your hearts content!

Mittens make great gifts- for teachers, dog walkers, snow shovelers, sports spectators, and those with Raynauds and other circulatory issues.

Instructor Bio:
I'm Karen Sullivan, the "Sully" behind Sully's Softies. I'm originally from California, but I am now proud to call Kansas City my home. The mid-west suits me just fine! Except for one thing...
That one thing?
You guessed it! It can get freakin' cold here.
When I first arrived, I was able to stay warm, except for my hands....they were always cold! Try as I might, I couldn't find any gloves or mittens that would keep them warm, and as you can guess, I really, really, hate cold hands -and I know I am not alone! Am I right?
I love finding old things and repurposing and making them "new" and useful again. I am amazed at all of the "stuff" that people collect and then get rid of. Beautifully made wool sweaters that have a small stain or hole, caught my eye, and knowing the many benefits of wool made me consider them for my "mitten mission".
I began making mittens for myself, and then I started getting requests from the mom's I would hang with while we watched our kids sporting events in the frigid weather.
I opened my Etsy shop in 2014 and never turned back.
I'm excited to share my love of mitten making with all of you!
