Quilted Sneaker Workshop

Put your soul in your soles!

Patti found a great sneaker kit and made several pairs and now she's excited to share this process with you. These sneakers - with a little prep - can easily be made in a day! The best part is you get to customize them to your likes and personality. Will you pick your favorite sports team? Designer Fabric? Favorite color? It's all up to you!

Required Supplies: We provide the sneaker kit and tools and you bring your fabrics and notions. We will contact you after registration to get your shoe size and sole color preference.

Fabric for your shoes and binding. These shoes require two fat quarters of coordinating fabric and a bias cut binding. You can make the bias-binding from the fabric for your shoes or something coordinating.
Bring to class all materials needed to sew the shoes - pre-quilted fabric, sharp fabric shears, matching thread, all parts of your machine, clips, marking tools that will show up on your fabric, and a ready-to-have fun attitude. Paper scissors and a rotary cutter can be handy. Don't forget a seam ripper.

Prior to class you will sandwich your outside fabric, interfacing (SF101), fusible foam (Bosal or Soft and Stable), and inside fabric. Quilt as desired. Recommended quilting at 1" grid or less.
