Quilted Sneaker Workshop

Put your soul into your soles!
Patti found a great sneaker kit and made several pairs and now she's excited to share this process with you. These sneakers - with a little prep - can easily be made in a day! The best part is you get to customize them to your likes and personality. Will you pick your favorite sports team? Designer Fabric? Favorite color? It's all up to you! Patti will show you several variations and embellishments and you can create from there.
Required Supplies: We provide the sneaker kit and tools and you bring your fabrics and notions. We will contact you after registration to get your shoe size and sole color preference - choose from black or white soles. We must have shoe size no later than March 1st.
Fabric for your shoes. These shoes require two fat quarters of coordinating fabric. If making the high tops, we recommend sizing up your fabric to a 21" x 24" in order to be able to cut out your shoes and tongue from the same piece - or you can quilt a separate 12" x 12" piece for just the tongues.
Bring to class all materials needed to sew the shoes - fabric, sharp fabric shears, matching thread, all parts of your machine, clips, marking tools that will show up on your fabric, and a ready-to-have fun attitude. Paper scissors and a rotary cutter can be handy. Don't forget a seam ripper.
Homework:
Prior to class you should adhere woven interfacing (SF101 or equivalent) to the wrong size of your outer fabric. Precut your Soft & Stable to the size of your fabric pieces.
