KIDS’ CHOICE Summer Camps - every camp, all summer long!

Our sewing camps are designed for kids ages 7 to 13 of any skill level. Unlike our After-School program, where kids follow a prescribed curriculum, our summer camps are based on KIDS’ CHOICE - meaning they get to pick the projects they want to make. With a large selection of projects to choose from, kids can come for multiple weeks without making the same project twice.

Every camper’s skill level will be assessed based on the information you give us on the registration form and any history they may have in our educational program. Then, kids will choose from a selection of projects appropriate for their skill level. Every skill level has projects in these categories: quilting, bag making, pillows, stuffies, and applique, - so every kid can find projects that fit their personal taste.

Our student teacher ratio sets us apart from other programs. We have one teacher to each 4 students to ensure that each child has excellent instruction throughout the class.

Note: If your child has no sewing experience, they must first complete our Beginner Workshop before coming to camp. This is a 2-hour class in which students learn the basics of the sewing machine. Supplies: All project materials (fabric, thread, patterns, etc.) are included in the cost of camp. However, students must provide their own tools. Click here to preorder your sewing kit.

Registration Form: Each parent must complete a registration form for each child they are enrolling at least one week prior to start of class. Once your enrollment is received we will email the form to you. Form can be returned via email to patti@kcmakerstudio.com or dropped off in store. 

Snacks: Each day, please pack a light snack and a drink for your child, as we take a short break mid-camp, each day.

Discounts:

Early-Bird - save $10 per session if you register by April 30th. Price will increase to $235 per week on May 1st.
Multi-week Discount - Register for more than 2 camps and save 5% on additional weeks.
Sibling Discount - Register siblings for the same camp and save 10% on the second enrollment. 

Signing up for morning and afternoon and want to hang out for lunch? Sign up for our Lunch Bunch. This is a supervised group lunch. You bring a sack lunch and one of our staff will hang out with you during the lunch break for everyone's safety.

By signing up for class, you're agreeing to our cancellation policy. 

Cancellation Policy:

If your child is registered for a camp they cannot attend, the following cancellation policy applies:
1. If and only if we are notified at least 7 days prior to the start of camp that your child cannot attend AND we can fill your child’s spot, you may receive a refund.
2. If we are notified at least 7 days prior to the start of camp that your child cannot attend, but we are unable to fill your child’s spot, you may receive a credit for a future class/camp or you may switch your child to a different week.
3. If we are notified less than 7 days prior to the start of camp that your child cannot attend, your child may switch to another week or you forfeit the registration cost. No refunds or credits will be issued.

Make-up Sessions:

Due to the nature of our camps and our student to teacher ratio, we are unable to provide make-up sessions for our summer programs.
