Sew It Begins:
Take your first stitches toward sewing success! This beginner-friendly class is designed to demystify the world of patterns and give you the confidence to start your first project.
In this session, we’ll walk through the basics of reading a commercial sewing pattern, understanding common sewing terms, and following cutting instructions. You’ll gain the foundational knowledge needed to move from fabric to finished with ease.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to read and interpret a sewing pattern
- The meaning of key sewing terms and symbols
- How to lay out, pin, and cut fabric according to instructions
Recommended Age: 14 and up
Class Length: 2.5 hours
Supplies: Bring a Fat Quarter of fabric, Rotary Cutter, Cutting Mat (or share one of ours), needle and thread, and a fabric marking pen.
