Judy Niemeyer 3-day Workshop

Join us for a 3 day workshop with Eileen Urbanek as she teaches you to make a Judy Niemeyer quilt. We will have recommendations based on your skill level for appropriate patterns you can select from. Over the 3 days you'll have plenty of time to learn the techniques necessary to be successful in a JN pattern, and you'll have time to make good progress on your quilt. Best of all, Eileen will be their to teach and mentor you through the process.

What you can expect to learn in this class:
Judy's technique for cutting apart the foundation papers
Judy's approach to foundation paper piecing and curved piecing
Judy's process to speed up the sewing process by using template layout sheets for cutting out the fabric
How to approach Jacquline De Jong patterns using Judy's techniques

Supply List:
Judy Niemeyer pattern
Fabric based on pattern requirements
Sewing machine with open toe foot and 1/4" foot
Mini iron and pressing mat
Thread to blend with your fabrics
Rotary Cutter
6" x 24" ruler 
6" x 12" ruler
Medium sized cutting mat (12"x18" works well)
12" Add-a-quarter ruler
Washable Fabric Glue Stick
.55mm Flower Head Pins or 1 7/8" glass head pins
Purple Thang
Size 70/10 Microtex Sharp sewing needles
Gallon sized ziploc bags
Basic sewing notions/supplies

Homework:
If you understand the instructions in the pattern you have chosen, you can proceed with the cutting instructions. If you are not sure about what to do, please contact Eileen to see if she has any specific pre-class work for the pattern you have chosen. She will let you know if you should have any cutting done prior to class.
