Maker Monday - Travel Case
Are you needing a way to store and transport your rulers and small notions? This adorable Travel Case is great for organizing your sewing notions, storing marking pens/pencils and I’ll give you a great idea to make a larger Ruler Case to store 6-10 rulers. There’s NO fabric quilting & NO zipper in this project. Just quick, easy sewing. You will need 3 coordinating Fat Quarters, batting, and a 3” piece of sew-in Velcro. It's a fun class for beginners and advanced sewists alike!
Supply List:
Purchase pattern and see page one for fabric requirements.
All fabric materials, matching thread and wound bobbin
Sewing machine with power cord & foot pedal

Size 90/14 needle, new, - I use Superior Topstitch Titanium (has longer eye)
Fabric Marking pen – I use Frixion pens
Favorite notions: Scissors, Tweezers, Stiletto, Seam Ripper, pins, wonder clips,
Rotary Cutter with Sharp Blade
Rulers – 2.5” x 6.5”, 6” x 24”

Pre-class Homework:
Make a copy of pattern directions to take notes during class, or bring paper and pen.
Cut and Label all fabric & batting before class
1) Print attached CUTTING LABELS worksheet. Ignore the Label "F" and the other greyed out areas.
These are revisions I made to my pattern, and we'll discuss during class.
2) On page 1 of your Pattern, label fabrics A, B, C, D, E, G, & H to match Cutting Labels worksheet.
3) Read through pattern.
4) Make a copy of pattern directions to take notes during a class. I will give helpful tips as we assemble the project.
